I recently bought an dual band airport extreme base station so that I could run dual N and b/g compatible wifi networks. Since I already have a single band Time Capsule, I figured I could use that in bridge mode to extend the network. Great in theory, but in practice I can't make it work.
Even though I copied my settings directly from the Time Capsule, which always did and continues to get a valid IP address from the Comcast Cable modem ethernet, the dual band Airport Extreme can not create a wifi network that gets a valid IP address. What could possibly be different about the AE from the single band Time Capsule that would make one work and the other not work?
Any ideas?
