Maybe I'm being stupid, but having easily grasped the concept of the new Dual Band AEBS, I'm finding the implementation less than intuitive. Hope someone can answer some questions.
When selecting the Radio Mode for this AEBS in AirPort Utility, am I correct in thinking that before the dash is the 5 GHz and after the dash is for the 2.4 GHz band? If so, then it's a nice concise way to specify it, but WHERE DOES IT TELL YOU THIS? I first saw this and was more than a little confused. The latest Designing AirPort Networks etc manual omits to make ANY mention of this latest AEBS and I can only guess that my assumption is correct.
Also, where does it tell you that the name (SSID) you enter on the main Wireless tab/page is for the 2.4 GHz band (or presumably both if you don't opt for a different name) and you must choose Wireless Options to find that you can specify a different name for the 5 GHz band?
I have to say that wonderful though it is to be able to operate on dual bands simultaneously, the interface in AirPort Utility leaves a lot to be desired and the documentation is er, well, NON existent.
Unless someone can point out where this is all documented so I didn't need to be fumbling about guessing for so long.
